Never mind. I misread that. It's only UID and GID that FSSetCatalogInfo doesn't touch -- it affects the file mode.

I just assumed I could use FSSetCatalogInfo to set the permissions on a file from Carbon, but according to the above URL, I can't. Given that I'm writing a CFM app, and Mach-O is not an option for me, what is the "right" way to set UNIX permissions on a file?
