Getting regions from MouseTrackingRefs?

Given a MouseTrackingRef, is there anyway to get the region that it is
tracking? Or a copy of it? I've got a brutal bug somewhere in my
tracking code, but unfortunately I don't seem to have anyway of getting
a region back from a MouseTrackingRef to verify that it's tracking what
I think it's tracking.

Is there a limit to the number of regions that one can attach to a
window?

Also, some documentation seems to imply that the targetEventRef
parameter is ignored, and all MouseEntered/exited notifications go to
the windows...I have empirical evidence that this it not so, but are
there any other interesting "catches" with regards to using
MouseTrackingRegions?

Are the regions allowed to overlap?

Desperately grasping for straws (if you hadn't noticed ;-)

Cheers,
Dave
