How to get the pathname of a file(only with FSSpec)?

Subject: How to get the pathname of a file(only with FSSpec)?

my app need to choose many files, then I display the
file list in a databrowser. After I choose a file, i
can only have the FSSpec of the file.

How can i get the pathname with this fsSpec?
