Re: FYI: Strange screen shots in Panther



This is just a heads-up to those that take screen-shots. I have yet to find a pattern, so haven't yet filed a bug.

Basically, few of my screen shots have their top 20 or so rows overlayed by a slightly transparent gray stripe.

My applications currently just use QT and QD for rendering and I haven't had any problems there. I'm wondering if this is potentially some Quartz bug or a bug isolated to the screen-shot mechanisms.

I'm seeing this in 10.3.1 (7C107) and the offending PDF images were captured with Command-Option-4. My display is set to millions of colors.


I hadn't really thought of it at the time, but I actually have seen this myself now that you mention it.

So in case you write up a bug, another environment where it occurs is:
Power Mac G5 dual/2G, 10.3.1 (7C107)
