I'm having some trouble with Navigation services dialogs. My application is CFM, so it runs in OS 9. Everything works just fine in OS X, but in OS 9, whenever I open any popup menu in a Nav services dialog (file type or the one you use to go up in the folder hierarchy), the application crashes and immediately quits.

Because of this problem, I'm explicitly suppressing the file type popup menu, but I can't (and don't want to) suppress the folder hierarchy menu. I do use an event filter function, but I pass NULL for previewProc and filterProc. But I can't see any reason it would need to access either of those.

I can't think of anything else to try. Anyone have any bright ideas?

Can you give us a backtrace for the crash from MacsBug?

I don't really know how to use MacsBug, but I installed it, and this is what comes up:

Bus Error at 42200088
While reading word from 42200088 in User data space
Unable to disassemble from the current PC because it is at a bad address.
