Is it safe to so this: (psuedo-code)

EventRef someOSEvent;

Add some custom parameters to someOSEvent via SetEVentParameter;
error=CallNextEventHandler(next, someOSEvent);
Remove custom parameters via RemoveEventParameter

return error;

The custom parameters do not overwite any OS parameters.
