Customize it how? The standard behavior is for that menu to be a path to a
file system object, which is why you have to assign one with
SetWindowProxyFSSpec() to get the menu working. How are you wanting to use
it?

I am aware of the standard behavior. I have a window representing a remote document and I will customize the path popup to show the URL path to it, similar to what Safari does.
