Re: How to repair home directory paths

Now that I have my server up and running again I am having problems accessing home directories. I think I figured out the problem and need to know the easiest way to fix it.

Before THE CRASH. Student home folder path names (in WGM) looked like this:
    /Network/Servers/bagheera.thet.net/Volumes/Mowgli/Home/TAS/

NOW... After the crash (students were logging in before Mowgli had a chance to mount) they look like this:
    /Network/Servers/bagheera.thet.net/Volumes/Mowgli 1/Home/TAS/

Note the change from Mowgli to Mowgli 1 .... Question is... WHERE and HOW do I change this and is there a way to change it for ALL the students (not faculty) quickly?

This happens when someone tries to access a home when the volume hasn't mounted yet. The easiest way to correct it is to move any data create in the bogus mount point, boot into SUM and remove the bogus mount point.
