I've solved similar issues by just changing the user name in WGM admin - and
leave the home directory alone -- afterall, it doesn't really matter what
the name of the home directory is - as long as the user points to the
correct place, right?
I've had similar issues with our students who sometimes go by the father's
name, then decide to go by the mother's, or sometimes they come with both
surnames and it takes a 1st grader so long to type in all their names, they
don't have time to do any work! So I just use WGM to alter the surname and
leave the home directory alone. So far, this has worked fine with me. Lynne
