Applications fail to launch / error -10810



Hello,

Running into an issue on a system that I'm trying to track down.
Google, Apple List archives and the usual Mac fix sites are coming up
zeros so far.

Problem: User can not launch applications. Get error -10810. Occurs
under multiple users.

OS: 10.3.8 (problem was happening with 10.3.6 also)
All security patches applied
Bound to AD using Directory Access

Problem tends to pop up in afternoon after use all day. I initially
suspected cache files, but even after deleting cache files, problem
will occur again. Once issue starts, problem continues when logged in
as a different user (local computer account vs AD account). Only way
to solve problem is to restart machine.

I'd like to avoid reinstalling OS if possible. The thought of having
to reauthorize Quark Xpress 6 and Freehand doens't seem like my idea
of a pleasant afternoon.
