try cups and ghostscript if using 10.2, if using 10.3, then I believe ghostscript is built-in. Just before you click on add printer in print center hold the option key then click "add". Or if you prefer you can go to the web interface at <http://127.0.0.1:631> This method seems more confusing to me but ymmv.
