Re: Can Workgroup Manager and MacManager Coexist

We have at our school about 240 iMacs G3/450's running

Mac Minis running Tiger for our lab and use one to
replace our server. We'll buy Tiger server software
for it. We can't afford to upgrade the iMacs to Tiger.
Question, will the kids be able to access their
documents on the Mac Minis that they've saved on the
iMacs using MM? Can we load MacManager on the Mac
Minis, or is there another solution?

Managed Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X clients share the same home folder, so that's not a problem. We have a document on our site that shows how to setup a mixed environment.

I really would re-think running the server on the mini though. That dinky little laptop drive isn't going to have the performance, or the duty rating, that you need for a home folder server.
