I am seeing what I think is a bug in the ability of 10.4.2 to remember
an admins management setting. We are NOT using workgroups, only
computer MCX settings. Our users are local to the machine at this
point.
If I turn MCX off and remember my choice, it stays off, if I then turn
management on again and remember my choice, the com.apple.MCX.plist
still show MyRememberedWorkgroup as mcx-off.
Do I need to create at least one workgroup and have all my local users
log in with that workgroup to make this work?
Is this a bug? Or is it by design that you can turn off management and
remember the setting, but not remember it being on?
What should the plist string value be for MyRememberedWorkgroup if I
want to remember my choice to allways be managed?
Pllleaseeeee help.
