Saw a thread at MacOSXHints about thinning fat archives with ditto --arch.
I just checked my app fodler and found 8MB out 3.4GB that could be trimmed -
not much but I was surprised to find any.
But apparently I don't quite understand the ditto command because
ditto --arch ppc /Applications/* /Applications-alt/*
flattened several folders out in the resulting folder.
Any suggestions?
Perhaps Delocalizer could add a button to trim fat binaries?
I wish I knew what apps were already running with non-ppc code (or someday when
i386 machines need trimming theres the ppc code.)
Of course implications include will patchers deal with trimmed code, the fact
that not only the code but the spotlight index will be trimmed too....
Anyone know if this will trim out old 68k code too?
