We're having exactly the same issue with 10.4.2 clients and 10.3.9 servers.

I haven't set up a test 10.4.x server to see if that fixes it, but it is definitely *only* my 10.4.x clients that are having this issue, none of the 10.3.9 clients have the problem.

Let me know if you work anything out....
