Hello, The other day I upgraded my 5 xServes to OS X 10.4.2. I then migrated to open directory. I have one server as the open directory master and 4 of the servers are replicas of that master. The 4 servers store home directories for users in that building. I am trying to get those share points set up in workgroup manager, but each time I try, I get an error message. Here is the process I am following: I log in to the OD Master and launch Workgroup Manager. In WGM I type in the address of the replica server that has the sharepoints I want to enable I click on share points, choose the folder, tell it I want it to be a share point, but when I get to the Network Mount tab and try to click the box to enable network mounting of the share point, I get this error: Directory Services Error An Unexpected Error Occurred while writing to Directory Services. All of my server appear to be bound and replicated correctly. I went to terminal and typed ID diradmin (as per a Apple support operators recommendation) and it gave me the data for that user. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jay N. Bosworth District Network Administrator Bullock Creek Schools (989)631-2340 ext. 157 |
