Please could someone guide me through deleting old users home
areas? i have deleted them from WGM but files still exist in users
folder on hard drive. I think i have to use the root user but am
unsure?
I don't know that that's true. As the local admin user, log in to the
server (via the GUI) and and just try dragging the unnecessary
folders to the trash. Hopefully, the Finder will ask you to
authenticate and then do as you requested. Empty the trash, and done.
If that doesn't do it, open Terminal and, for each user folder, type:
sudo rm -Rf /path/to/user/folder
Specify the path up to and including the folder you want to delete.
If you type that command incorrectly, you can have immediate deletion
of files you probably wanted to keep.
Matt
