Are there any known issues regarding the use of network install images in 10.4.2 Server? I created an image from my perfect eMac, but it will not deploy to my clients which are currently running Panther. I imaged 50 eMacs last year using this technique, but I find that it is not working this year. AppleCare Premium Server Support agents tell me that they are hearing of this problem, and have escalated it to the engineering group, but do not have a solution at this time. The NetBoot log file seems to keep repeating itself, and the computer does not advance beyond the gray apple and spinning sundial. I have tried this on both an Xserve G5 and an older G4 server (after disabling NetBoot on the Xserve and recreating the network install image on the G4 server.) The same problems are observed on both 10.4.2 servers. The Xserve was an upgrade install from 10.3.9 server, and the G4 server was a clean erase and install of 10.4.2 server. I would appreciate any suggestions or advice concerning other methods of imaging computers on my network (Carbon-copy Cloner, Net Restore, SuperDuper!, etc.).
