Re: more SRI

Title: Re: more SRI
Interesting....Our rep says we’re due to get a new “Enterprise” version on January 6. I just wish he would have said that 3 months ago when he led us to believe we had to have an aggregation server in place for this roll-out.

Since I saw this thread I left everything at 10.3.9  -  so far so good.  You would think that they would have the permissions figured out by now.  Its a pain to have to go to every workstation to make the same changes....  In hindsight, I should have probably setup a master machine and did a net install.

I’m on school 3 of 4 now

Steven,
Yeah, we had automounts last year.  I think that SRI 3.0.2 just hates OS 10.4.2 but I could be wrong.  The scholastic rep came out today to my neighbor and he thought everything was set fine, did clean install, and came up with the same error message that they'd been having.  He said another Mac district was having the same problem.  I had to leave so I didn't see the end result but if I hear anything I'll post.  Looked to me like he verified that the product has bugs under 10.4.2.

He also said that the new version of SRI/Reading Counts/Read 180 is currently being beta tested, and it uses a customized install of MySQL on OS X Server on the server end, and we should get it in January, and no, my school could NOT beta test it.

Larry, thanks for the scripts - we've set our permissions the same way... unfortunately still seeing issues.  This software has bugs under 10.4.2.  People might see them or might not.  Almost every school in my county IS seeing them.
