RE: Printing via Uniprint from Pharos Systems

Lorenzo,

We have a few of the Kyocera FS-9520DN and have liked them so far! We have a few through out the school and two in our print center that are used for all macs and PC's to print too. So far they have held up and run great!

Our setup we have a windows 2003 as the print server with Unix services installed for the OS X clients, we have a share setup called Student8x11 with the two printers in the print center under this queue and both Mac and PC print to it.......everything has been running great! I believe we have had these printers for about a year or so now.

I would stay away from anything Lexmark has......have heard bad things about anything they make.....I also heard Lexmark makes Dell's printers also.

I'm not sure about the HP, at another location they have a Laserjet 9600 and it keeps jamming and having all kinds of problems and its only 6 months old. Whether its the paper or what I'm not sure....shouldn't jam like it does, they quit using it and have it lined up for an HP tech to look at it.

Thanks,

We use Uniprint on our campus for fee based printing and we are looking
to upgrade our printers for use with. Our research has narrows to 4
printers and I'd like to find out if anyone with experience with
Uniprint and any of these printers can tell us about their experience.
Here are our candidates, let me know what you think:

Kyocera FS-9520DN
Lexmark T634dtn
Lexmark W820dn
HP Laserjet 9050dn
