Re: AppleWorks Clippings - again

We have found that emptying the /AppleWorks User Data/Starting Points/Recent Items folder will dramatically increase AppleWorks speed whether or not the user has a local or network home directory.

Hi,

I've searched for info but without success... one of my teachers complained that loading or doing anything in AppleWorks was painfully slow. When I checked the clippings cache he had over 25Mb! (The default max is 10Mb?)

Has anyone got a clue what might be going on? Appleworks 6.2.9, clients 10.2.8 and 10.3.4.

Many thxs,
Jeff
P.S. I still believe this explains the slowdown when kids finish class and quit from Appleworks but as yet I haven't found a way to sort this out - apart from telling them not to use clippings?
