And because of this, migrating from SFM to SMB is difficult for users with a
lot of legacy data, particularly Quark files that link to a lot of other
files. This is close to impossible if you still have OS9 users using the
same share. It would help if the Apple SMB client was a little nicer in
dealing with forked data. The Admitmac SMB client is much better at this.
Extreme Z-IP is a good option if you can afford it.
I suggest anyone considering moving to SMB connections do a LOT of testing
with their users...
