This is more significant than that. If I look at the throughput over
the last week there have been 3 times when it has spiked way higher!
On two occassions it reached 2.35Mb/sec and today it went as high as
7.04Mb/sec which caused a connection failure and the kids lost their
work. (At least I think that this was what caused it!)
I'd start at the network level. Maybe you have a duplex mismatch
somewhere that is causing port flapping as rates that low shouldn't be
causing any issues. We have customers on GigE that sustain upwards of
30MB/s without any trouble.
