smb mount syntax in 10.4.3

Does anyone know if the syntax for smb mounts has changed.. yet again..... in 10.4.3?

I have a line in a script that currently says;

/sbin/mount_smbfs -I blah.gold.ac.uk //$1:${PASS}@blah/homes /Volumes/Home-Directory

This command no longer seems to want to mount the required volume saying that there is no such file or directory, when the same script works fine with the old 10.4.2 setups.

TIA
