Re: Managed clients with local homes?

Hi,

So, how to you do this? How can I have a local home directory and network user? I have not been able to figure this out with Tiger server. You help is appreciated.

when I try it, it always wants to mount the server and user /Users/ <username> on the server.

Thanks,

Well, it's certainly possible to use authentication centrally and keep home directories on the computer you're actually logging into. That's one of the easy setup options that Mac OS X Server allows.

What you'll find is that if Ursula User has logged onto six computers
then all six have home directories for her, each with different things
in.
