Same for us. We lease everything on 3 year leases. It costs us a little bit more, but means that:

* they've covered by warranty as long as we have them, so we don't worry about repairs at all ourselves.
* we don't have to dispose of old assets (this is a huge bureaucratic pain at my campus)
* We just have a budget line item each year to cover labs being upgraded.

The last one is the best facet. Rather than fighting for lab upgrades each time they come around, we just have a certain amount budgeted, and normally we get more for our money each time as Macs get cheaper.
