Have to keep in mind the cost is not just the warranty versus part replacement but also for the bodies to actually do the work. One or two hardware techs can easily eat up that theoretical $80K plus you may save by not going with AppleCare on their salaries and benefits.

I'm a fan of in-house service, when done properly it can be of great benefit to the organization.
