Re: Simple Finder - Trash

This is interesting.  From the sound of it, no one is using OS X Simple Finder in elementary school, or, if they are, they're using the computer like a kiosk station, where trashing files does not matter.  Or they're using it and complaining to each other but not to Apple?  Or perhaps elementary schools are using restricted finder?  I'll have to poll the elementary schools in our county to see what they're doing... but some of them are (believe it or not) still running OS 9.  But it all sounds funny.

Personally I thought panels was stupid for using the computer in anything BUT kiosk mode.  It was essentially not a Mac interface... it was like we were teaching kids a different Finder, then when they hit 3rd grade they learned the Mac Finder in restricted finder.  Maybe when people were using Panels in MM they were really using it as a kiosk?  I'd use it that way for K and 1 maybe.

I could see though where a primary kid might want to trash a document.  Why no complaints to Apple?
