Here is my situation. I have set up Managed users with Work Group manager and am having a problem with my iBooks.
My Server is 10.4.2, most clients are 10.3.9 except for my iBooks which are running 10.4.2. The 10.3 clients see the list of users fine, but the 10.4.2 clients do not. If I log in as a user and then log back out, only then does the user list appear. Of course, my iBooks are connected via airport, which seems to be part of the problem. I have heard rumblings about Apple suggesting that you do not use List of Users, but rather have the users log in with their name and password. Problem with that is, try having k-4 kids remember their user name nonetheless know how to type it in. That is not an option. Connecting iBooks via ethernet is not an option either. Do you have any suggestions? Other schools have got to be running into the same issues.
