wireless login inconsistant

I am curious if you got any response on this. I have the same problem with wireless connections and haven't been able to pin it down. I've done the generic stuff such as using fixed IP and not DHCP to access directory service, setting home directories to connect via IP and not DNS, turning off ethernet and modem on the clients and moving airport to the top of the list, and setting airport to connect to a specific network instead of automatic.

I had this problem under 10.3.5. I just upgraded to 10.3.9 clients and Server and updated airport base stations to the latest and greatest software. I haven't seen the problem reappear but school has only been in a week and iBooks are not yet receiving extensive use.

This problem has been posted many times on the list but I have never seen a solution besides the above. Anybody out there have other ideas?

I have noticed that our wireless iBOOKs are not consistently allowing
logins. That is, if I attempt to login as a student the login request
is denied. If I then login in as a local administrator, logout, and
try again as a student the login is fine.

This is one of a few strange behaviors since I (1) re-imaged the
iBOOKs,(2) installed some new Airport Base Stations, (3) upgraded to
OS X Server 10.3.9 and (4) imaged and installed both the Server HD
and Data HD onto larger disks. It does seem that those workstations
that are wired are more reliable. Yes, too many variables.
