THe only way I had to mostly handle this was to set all Office prefs to the local HD. when the teacher started a new document, I had them first File SAve to an unrestricted folder on the HD. This avoided typing across the network to their home folder. After the doc was written, they could then File Save back to their home folder.

It is an elementary school, so many Classic apps. Two main problems so far- Word 98 has a typing delay, with words sometimes appearing a second after they are typed and Word is also freezing for many users. Second problem is not all user names show up in the list of users on startup - restarts are necessary. Any advice appreciated.
