Does anyone know where the default profile for a user is stored? I have created a temp users, made all the necessary changes and settings, and copied the users home directory to /System/Library/User Template/English.lproj/. This works fine when I create a new local user. The new users gets the correct default template with all the updates and changes. However, when a network user logs on a Mac for the first time, they are getting a completely different default user profile. I can not figure out where it is pulling this information from. We are using 10.4.2 with Home Directories on a nfs share (FreeBSD server). The biggest pain is Microsoft Office 2004 because it wants every new users to register the product. Thanks for any advice.
