We have set up Tiger server and clients at one of our schools.
Here <br>are the issues we are having, and I'm not sure if they are
image <br>related, network related or Tiger related.<br><br>-
Logins will occasionally not complete. They stay stuck on the
first <br>(blue background) screen that appears and go no further.
Me too! For the last three weeks we have experienced random login
hangs - 2 or 3 per class! I emailed the list but no one got back to
me or the list about this. I have tried Disk Utility and checking
permssions. I have cleared the individual preferences for the users
when this happened. This made no difference, in one case as the kid
simply got the same hanging screen next time they logged in on the
same computer. I don't think it is a desktop image issue as I've a
dummy account with the standard backdrop and this has had the same
problem. I've tried a reduced list of applications for each user
group - no difference. I'm running out of ideas?
I've contacted Apple UK and sent them Capture Data files, as yet
with no reply.
Anyone else have the same issue?
