Re: iBook Mobile Lab Problems

Title: Re: iBook Mobile Lab Problems
I have had similar problems with the airport password being retained after imaging on 10.3.9 with my iBooks, and also with the binding/logging in from our mobile laptops.

Here is what has worked for us, we have network accounts:

Our laptops are not static, but get their address DHCP and Directory Access is set as such.  When I tried to bind them, I found they could not log in – at first I thought it was that I was logging in too quickly for the network communication to have settled, but even if I delayed a bit before logging in, there were periodic issues.  It has been fine to just go DHCP for us.

Our laptops are usually shut down after each use, and placing two airport bases on a cart should not be necessary.

Have not found a fix for retaining the network password, using NetRestore Helper I think there was a blip in the image creation.

Hope this helps.
