I have 40 ibooks on a mobile cart.. I use panther server and 10.3.9 on
laptops. I use Ornico access points and have one airport throughout the
building. Everything is static IP. Kids have been having problems in
that the SECOND class to use them sometimes have connection problems.
I have been having ALL kids logout and SHUT Down the laptops before
putting them into the cart. Now some kids are impatient and shutdown
but close the lid before the procedure is completed and that is where
the problems for the 2nd class occur. It seems that if the kids wait
for the screen to go black prior to shutting the lid, then I have no
problems.

same computers but more random problems. The iBooks had OS 10.3 at

time. I was hoping that by now with updates etc that a lot of the
problems would have been solved but it seems that they don't work as
well
now as they did when I left. Since I have been gone I have not been
watching this list and I have probably missed a lot of great
information.
Is anyone having good success with a setup like this and if so can you
give me any advice as far as setup, should the iBooks be shut down
after
each use or left sleeping, would it help to put two Airports on a cart,
etc?
Teachers, students and myself are getting very frustrated.
Any help would be appreciated.
