RE: net install stalling about 3/4 way through

What is your client configuration? I have seen this when the client’s RAM is insufficient for the size of the image being installed.

Subject: net install stalling about 3/4 way through

Hi

Had a good 10.4.2 server system- did a 10.4.3 update and netinstall stalls 3/4 way through

Redid 10.4.3 update after stopping all services and then DHCP and netboot would not start.

Thought I would have to redo the server from scratch but 10.4.4 came out. I reinstalled the combo resulting in DHCP and netboot starting again thank goodness

However netinstall still stalled 3/4 way through.

Could the images be corrupted? do I need to remake them? are my images incompatible?

2. One other glitch which is not fatal is that kerberos is not running- open directory and log ins have worked fine for the last 5 months since my last problems

I have tried to use the open directory -kerberize command but it just stays at the username password screen- I have tried admin and diradmin

Any help would be greatly accepted

Thanks
