| Something you may want to think about is this. Apple recommends that you not have more then about 350-400 AFP connections at any time. With Portable Home Directory Syncing I have been running into a lot of problems where it will peg out a 2.3 GHz dual G5 Xserve with 8 GB RAM. Granted I am running over 1000 clients who authenticate randomly throughout the day. I would just highly recommend that you be very careful when you work with Portable Home Dir Syncing. The problem I am having now is there is no way to shut the syncing off so I don't get all this traffic. I have tried to manually specify syncing without any workable solutions. Anyone have a solution?
