Hmmm... There is something fairly isolated going on in your environment. As Joel pointed out in his AD session at MWSF last week, it works just fine 95% of the time, but that last 5% is hard.


Did you submit a bug to Apple? What do the Security event logs on the file server say when the logins fail? It sounds as if your kerb is going wrong. If you destroy your tgt before logging in can you authenticate to SMB?



Now I get to see if they fixed Mail’s interaction with Exchange servers.

I'll say this until I'm blue in the face. When Exchange 2000+ is involved just use Entourage. I've got nearly 100 users on it every day, all day, with tons of mail and scheduling. With 2004 sp2 they've nearly taken care of my wish list for it.
