| Are there advantages or disadvantages to turning on the Firewall on individual computers in a managed environment? If you would recommend turning on the firewall, are there any ports that need to be left open besides network time server and Remote Desktop? I have a High School network up with 10.3 clients and 10.3 server (approximately 200 workstations and 4 servers) I have never turned on the Firewall on a client computer but I am now looking at setting up a new lab of machines with my first 10.4 image. SInce I am building this image from scratch it is the time to make any changes. Thanks for any info you can share Jim Cartlidge Network Resources Dept Head Brookswood Secondary School 20902 37A Ave Langley, BC Canada 604-530-2141 ext 250 |
