[10.4] Phantom Printers

  Greetings all,

I have a managed client/server set up running 10.4.4 and I have some users that have a double listing of printers available. They would see something like computer_lab, computer_lab, project_lab, project_lab, etc. The printers were created on the print server and are being shared via LPR. I have deleted com.apple.MCX.plist, com.apple.print.PrintCenter.plist, com.apple.print.PrinterProxy.plist, com.apple.print.PrintingPrefs.plist, and com.apple.print.custompresets.plist from their home folder. I have also deleted /mcx_cache and /config/mcx_cache from the local machine, along with /Library/Managed\ Preferences\* and updated the preferences cache via WorkGroup Manager. I have also replaced the / etc/cups/printers.conf on the local machine to make sure that wasn't corrupt. Does anyone know what I might have missed to resolve this?

  Thanks in advance,

  Paul
