Being new to this aspect of the roll out process myself..
Having read the thread I though I would take a look at the problem
that might be waiting for me as well.
I noticed that Directory Access defaults the search method for LDAP
on all of my built locations.
Even my home setting had the LDAP server path listed.
I manually went back through and removed the check mark from my home
location in directory access.
