We got 5 new MacBooks in this summer for one of our smaller classrooms, and I can't get the list of usernames to appear on the login screen. I've set up everything just like our eMacs to no avail. I'm still running 10.3.x server software, but it has been working fine with all our other computers. When I've had this problem in the past I've been able to delete the MCX file and reconfigure the LDAP settings. But I can't find any MCX files on the MacBooks. I have deleted the Directory Access folder. I have reconfigured the LDAP settings so that they're like the eMacs. That is: get settings From Server cn=config,dc=wacoisd,dc=org If I log on as administrator, I can then connect to the server as a student just fine. But the login screen only has the Administrator account, and "Other". And if I choose "other" and put in a student name and password, it just shakes at me. Any help would be greatly appreciated as school starts in a couple of weeks, and we're going to get more new computers in shortly after that! thanks Marcy Matties Technology Facilitator Hillcrest PDS 4225 Pine Ave. Waco, Tx. 76710 254 772-4286 email@hidden |
