Leopard tweaks & best practices

Hello all,

 

I’m building a core Leopard image, and I’m curious what the group have found to be necessary and/or desirable tweaks to the OS.

For example, on my Tiger images, I do the following (all package based):

 

- Disable dashboard (I won’t do this in Leopard, since OD now allows widget control)

- launchd item to run screensaver over login window when idle (as far as I know, no one has figured out how to do this in Leopard)

 

There is only one other item I can think of:

I’d like to stop Time Machine from prompting every time an external drive is attached.

 

If any of you have any other tweaks you’re doing, I’d love to hear what they are and the reasons for them.
