Network Volumes in Sidebar

Sorry if this has been posted already but I have not been able to find any answers with how to deal with the new way Leopard client handles network mounts under the sidebar and I really need to return the behavior to how it worked in 10.4 to maintain simplicity for student labs.

The problem is that when a user creates a new document within an application they can no longer select the network volume to save it to without first having to browse all of the network resources and shares on the server. For this particular lab it means successfully finding the fileserver from a list of 45 machines listed and then locating the users network home on that machine. This is very difficult for an early years student to perform.

Under 10.4 the users would see their network home and a shared group in the sidebar and were able to save directly to the location. The lab machines are bound to AD with a local home created and Open Directory is used for mcx management. So far I have not had any success trying to send out a managed sidebar.plist that will show the shares in the sidebar.

Thanks in advance.

Milos
