Hi,
Delta Airlines e-mails an e-ticket that contains a barcode.
Lately, Delta must have made a change to the barcode image
because Mail in 10.4.11 and 10.5.1 smears the barcode out over
literally two or three pages. Older e-tickets show up in Mail
just fine. The only way I can get e-tickets to show up and print
correctly is to forward them to a Windows machine and open the
mail message in Outlook or Outlook Express. I've googled and
searched the archives and only found one hit for this problem. If
you try to talk to Delta, you get nowhere. Has anybody else seen
this problems and/or found a realistic workaround.
Thanks, Phil
Have you tried dragging this image to the desktop and opening it
in Preview? If you can, then you should be able to restrict the
size to at the very most 1 full page.
And, no, I haven't heard of this, but I haven't flown delta in 9
months.
The problem is that the e-mail is HTML mail. The barcode image is
downloaded via http and is not rendered correctly. So by the time I
can get the image it's already junk. dragging it out to the desktop
and opening in Preview shows the same junk.
Thanks, Phil
Can we see a screenshot of your print preview screen just to get a
visual on the problem, by chance?
Thanks,
Mike
