The second public beta of MarshmallowLibrarian, a search engine for developer documentation is now available at <http://www.toastedmarshmallow.com/Applications>.

Key features include fast searching and pervasive multi threading.

This version adds many new features:
Services support.
Plug in architecture for "tokenizers" to support diverse file formats.
File types to be indexed can be set by the user, as a global default, and per index.
Case sensitivity can be turned on and off when searching.
Phrase searching.
Improved boolean searching; phrases can now be used in boolean expression; NSObject AND "informal protocol".
Faster indexing.
Runs indexing threads at a low priority.
Remembers recent searches, including search mode.
Integrated file viewer for some file types.
Synchronizes with Find Panels through the pasteboard.
New index archiver allows searching while to index is being loaded.
Toolbars.
