Re: Dare I fear the 10.1 upgrade?

Saving a few seconds here and there isn't worth the potential disruption of a new set of dev tools at such a stage. If you have a spare partition and are dying to check it out, use that.

My advice: save the upgrade for an end-of-project treat (may also incent you to get it done :-)). If you're really in a treat-yourself mood, go out and also get yourself an upgrade stick of 256 or 512MB while it's cheap. [10.1 doesn't need it, but more memory never hurts.]

Normally, I would sooner lodge a CueCat in my eye than upgrade the OS on my developer machine at the end of a development cycle. But 10.1's speed increases are damned tempting. Unfortunately, I've heard that the dev tools might not work after the upgrade. I can't afford even a few hours of downtime right now if I want to stay on schedule. I didn't install any of the betas, so this would be a 10.x.x to 10.1 upgrade.

So, is the 10.1 upgrade worth it to upgrade to (speed--sweeeet), or should I just stick it out for the rest of the week until this project is finished?

Thanks,
