DiscBurning Framework?

Okay, it's under "Private Frameworks", so that means it's not something a spec is published for, and it's not to be used by other programs, right?

I'm trying to figure out why my CD-RW (Yamaha CRW8824) drive shows up in the Apple Profiler (even shows as being Disk Burner Compatible), but yet both iTunes and Disc Burner report no suitable drive is found.

I don't suppose there is a way to find out what they are looking for, and what the drive is actually reporting in order to figure out why it's not working, is there?
