dockling

Hi,

I am trying to make a dockling, but have never made one before. I need lots of help. Here is what I want it to do.

I have a samba share mounted. I want the dockling to show me how much space is left on the share(i.e. percentage and MB's used/unused) graphically if possible.

Can someone tell me how to go about doing this? Where to start? etc.etc. or if someone has one made already and is willing to share the code that would be even better. better yet if someone wants to make one for fun??? :-)
