Re: passing pointers

To get the address of a variable, use &obj. Are you sure that's what you want to do? If obj is a pointer to an Objective-C object, such as in 'NSDictionary * obj;' , then it is already a pointer to an object. You should be able to return it normally with 'return obj;'

object obj;
//...
-(object *) function:(id)sender
{
return &obj;
}
